Need help in ranking

I have a table with a field "item code". Each item code appears 4 times with "price" of 4 vendors. Like this I have 100 item code (ie. I have 400 records). I want to rank the price of the 4 vendors for each item code.
Can someone help

hi ,

If you want to arrange your data, first the products and then the prices by vendor, so

Go in query design,

Invoke your table,

Choose your product item column by clicking twice on it...

Under it, assign sort Ascending

Choose the column of vendor... Choose ascending also!

At last do the same with the prices...

Now you are ready to open your query in datasheet view and to see the results!

:)
