how to query by a range of dates

I have a query that collects dates and data from the table its hooked to. I want to be able to query a range of dates rather than just one date. I want the query to ask me the start date and the end date of the time frame I need data from and then just display that data. How do I accomplish this?

Create your query in the query grid. In the criteria of the date field enter this line.

Between [Enter start date] And [Enter end date]
