Data Entry Form: Save Button

Hi guys,

Im trying to implement the following, but having trouble doing so.

I have form that shows saved records of project details.

with this form, i want to be able to add new project details, and also scroll through the saved ones, and edit them.

The problem is, i dont want to save a new record, or edit a record, until some sort of trigger/button has been clicked.

Currently, when i enter in data, or edit data, if i close the form with [x], it saves the data into the table. How can i go about disabling this, so that the data is only saved into the table when i click [Save]. ?

thanks guys

So you need to go to before update event in your form and there write a little code...

Maybe you can do showing a msgbox that asks the user if he want to save the record...

If result= vbno then

Cancel=True
Me.Undo

End if

This is a little help with the code that you can put. Only see in VB help about msgbox

:)
