Pdf printing order

I currently run a loop to print batches of pdf files based on user
criteria using RunShellExecute. The loop order is correct, and if I
run the loop line by line, it prints in the right order. The problem
is when I run the loop all at once, it prints the first document
available, whether it is the first document in order or not. I tried
turning off printer spooling to print directly to printer and the same
thing happens. I'm using Access 2K or 2002. If anyone can point me in
the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
