calculating (evaluating) expression

greetings!

i have two text boxes. in first i enter an expession such as
(2,78+3,16)*2*1,4
is there a way to have the result (16,632) of that expression shown in the
second box? a function maybe?

in the afterupdate event procedure for that textbox, enter

textbox2.value = eval(textbox1.value)

replacing the control names for their factuals.
