Creating a Report based on another Report

Hi all.

I have created a Report with a graph also on it.
The users, working through a form only (not the DB window) will want to view that Report run numbers of times against different criteria, probably simultaneously, and probably save it or print it --- so I cannot use the same report but must (I believe create copies of the original)

I created a standard 'template' query and can create other queries based on that, covering the requirements of the users Fine.

The problem is with the Report.

I thought the CreateReport() function created a report based on an existing report (I was going to use all the controls, the graph etc, just repoint them).

Then I found that CreateReport() only creates a blank report and I would have to create all the many controls.

I started to try to instantiate an existing report, etc, but didnt make much much progress.

Does anybody know if it possible for me to view an existing Report, then effectively do a SaveAS (copying it under a new name), and then alter the recordsource etc on that new Report ??

Hi,

I'ven't been able to understand why do you need to have multi reports with the same structure?

Only coz it's used from many users in the same time??? This wouldn't be a problem...

And the printing also is this is assigned the default printer in each station...

Really I don't see the problem of having one and only one report???

:)
Best regards!

:)
