Cannot refresh link to SQL Server Database

Hello,

I have a ms access '97 database with linked tables to a SQL Server
Database.
The ms access '97 was converted to ms accesss 2000 for development and
now it is converted back to ms access '97.

In ms access 2000 all linked tables work just fine and I can also
relink the tables without any problems. But in the '97 version, 2
tables just won't relink, I get a message saying something like 'The
database engine can't find <<tablename>>. Make sure that it is a valid
parameter or aliasname without invalid marks and that the name isn't
too long'.

(I use a Dutch Access version, so the message is also in Dutch. I
translated it in english for this newsgroup, so the real english
message can be different)

There aren't invalid marks in the name and the name isn't too long, I
can make a new table in Access with the same name as the linked table.

Does anyone know what can cause this problem and how I can solve it?

Greetings,
Chris
