Display Database Window Problem

A new problem has me puzzled. I have what appears to be a very stable
database but suddenly I can't find my Database Window. I tried the
Startup option of Display Database Window and hit the toolbar button
for Database Window, but nothing shows. When I hit that button on the
toolbar, that button and several other momentarily go away but then
come back as I hit another part of the screen..... Any clues? Thanks!

Are both the scroll bars showing in the main Access window?
