Creating a Query from 2 Tables

Am struggling some what, i want to do a simple calculation in a query that takes the inofrmation from 2 of the query colums and adds them together, but everything i've tried fails, it must be easy to do but i seem to be missing a trick!
please help!

Here's an example that might help:

After you have your tables in the query grid:

TableA
FieldTA

TableB
FieldTB

In Field name:

Total: [tableA.fieldTA]*[tableB.fieldTB]

Thanks for that, but i've got another problem now!
i now have a single table, off that i have a query that totals the sum of some of the colums, however the last colum i dont want a sum of the table info, but i want to get the sum of one colum and divide it by the sum of another colum in the query, if that makes sense. so i want to write an expression to do the calcultaes from the information in the tabble but display it on the query
