access97, other than corruption, why a seperate front end mdb for each user

I've got 4 front end mdbs (different, but related apps) totalling about
10+ Mb in size
and a 250+ Mb back end mdb
and I've got 50+ users running the apps on two terminal servers

so if all users have access to all applications, I need 500+ Mb of
total disk space
(disks are cheap, but to upgrade means upgrading TS infrastructure, a
slow process)

but why do I need 50+ copies ?
can't I put a copy of the front end on each TS and
setup 50 shortcuts to these two copies ?

or
give each user a small app that does this ?
Dim objAccess As Access.Application
Dim strConfig As String

On Error GoTo fErr
Set objAccess = New Access.Application
DoEvents
With objAccess
.RefreshTitleBar
.Visible = False
strConfig = "\\ts01\some.mdb"
.OpenCurrentDatabase strConfig
end with

The same reason you give every workstation a local copy of Word/Excel/etc.,
rather than make users run multi instances of the program on the servers.

500MBs is nothing. Absolutely nothing.

You're being penny-wise and pound-foolish if you try to do it wrong
just to avoid adding disk storage.
