Handling Subforms in Access Projects using ADO

I am beginning to change an Access front-end so that it connects to an SQL server version of the db (that I have upsized from an .mdb).
I am using an Access 2000 Project and ADO 2.6 to connect to SQL Server 2000.

I am working with a form (the order header) and a subform (for the order lines).

The order header part is no problem, the user can navigate the order header records at will and amend, delete, add etc.
I am now trying to display the order lines for each order that the user looks at.

While I can retrieve the order lines by using a Command object and populating a Recordset, I don't know how to assign the recordset values to the controls on the subform and display them (either in a datasheet or as continuous forms).

I have attempted to set the subforms "Recordset" property to the Recordset I produce, but Access tells me "the object does not support this method or property".

I would appreciate any advice on how to achieve this - I'm sure someone must have worked this out......

Thanks in advance.
