connection option not available (access 2003)

Hi,

I'm a little confused. The connection option under File Menu selection
is not available!
When I've addet it manualy, it's greyed, so I can not access it. What
is responsible for this kind of situation? Is it any setting ?

Thank you for any help.

Best regards

Matik

Connection should only be available with an ADP (Access Data Project).
It will not be available on a standard Access database. Which type of
database you have depends on what you selected when you created your
access file. For example, when you create a new Access file by
clicking File, New on the Access menu, you are given the option to
create (among other things) a 'Blank database' or a 'Project' (using
existing data or using new data). Selecting Blank database will create
a self-contained Access database without a connection. Selecting a
'Project' option will create a project file with an .adp extension that
expects to be connected to a SQL server database.
