Null Drop Down List - how to check for null?

P: 1
I made a dropdown list that populates based upon a previous selection in a drop down list, so i can filter out what is in the drop down list. some of the selections from the first dropdown list do not result in a filtered list for the second list and that list is unpopulated, which is correct for the query.

I want to be able to set the property of the second list to 'not visible' if the results are null. I do not know how to check the results for null so i can change the property of the second dropdown list to not visible.

Any help here?

Hi,

You can do a Dcount function on the recordset in you drop down list

if isnull(Dcount("Field","MySQL","")) = true then
me!Dropdownlist.Visible=False
else
me!Dropdownlist.Visible=True
end if

You can see the use of the SQL operator EXIST in Access help
