Copying forms and displaying 'todays' date

P: 17
Hi,

I know how to copy and paste a form but whatever I type in one automatically types in the other. Is there a way where I can copy the structure but so the data is individual in each.

Also I would like to display the actual date when you go on my form if you could tell me how.

Many thanks,
Grant

To show the current date in your form you have to create a field i nwhich you type

=Now()

For others things... It's difficult to understand why do you want to copy and Paste a form and what different information do you want to visualize! If you are more explicit ... explaining us your problem :)

Cheers,

Basically I have a form for one set of plant and a form for another set. They both need identically layouts but obviously need different data in. I could make the form again which would take a long time as its quite complicated, and would be easier to copy/paste.

I hope this helps,
Many thanks,
Grant

Ok!

So i understand! After you 've done copy Paste you have to enter in the form property and change the recordset that is used, then change the control source property of every control!

This work can't be automated, or the automation is a very expensive script ;)
