Fw: Access/SQL Programmer wanted in NY/Westchester Area

Access/SQL Programmer/Developer required ongoing work with a client.

- $55 per hour -

Technical Requirements - or Equivalent in know how.
1. 5+ years or Windows Software Development.
2. 3+ years MS SQL development experience.
3. Experience using Access as a front end development tool.
4. Able to takeover existing design
5. Able to troubleshoot network response time issues

General

1. Able to meet at client location in the Westchester area when needed
2. Understanding the environment and expectations of entrepreneurial
startup.
3. Enthusiasm about being part of our team.
4. Able to handle yourself as part of our team.
5. Able to lead and be led.
6. Able to understand deadlines and meet deadlines.
7. Understand that passion and discipline aren't mutually exclusive.
8. Excellent communication skills are required.
9. Ability and willingness to provide detailed reports of time spent and
estimated time for upcoming work on projects.

We are looking for a programmer/developer for a long term relationship,.
The right candidate will be able to take over the development of an Access
Database. This database has evovled based on design requirements provided
by our client on an ongoing basis. This is a moving target since the
software design will evolve as new requirements come up for the clients
business. The intention is to develop a second database for this client in
another related business area also.

The client systems will be moving to a MS SQL backend in several months and
a new more scalable platform so your experience and knowledge can influence
the outcome a great deal.

Note: There are other projects ongoing that will come up so you will not be
dead ended on this client or design.

Given your job description, you are paying well below the market rates in
this area. So, not only are you abusing the news group with your ad, you
are either underbilling your client or being a real pig in marking up your
employee/contractor.
