In theory a customer can have the same name. Do you have another way of uniquely identifying a customer?

We deal with architects, so our database is quite small - so when i say customer name, I actually mean, their business name. Sorry for the confusion.

How do i stop them from entering Business names twice?

Thank you for your prompt reply :)

Open the table containing the Customer name in design view.

Click on the Customer Name field and go to the Indexed Property

Set the value to 'Yes (No Duplicates)'

This will not allow the user to enter the same name twice.
