? Fill form fields from a separate table???

1
Hi - New here......and desperate!

My boss dropped an Access problem on my desk and I know almost nothing about Access. I have figured out a way to input most of the data in a form but I want to eliminate redundant data entry for the user.

Simply stated, I look up data in a previous field that has associated data with it (an Equipment ID number .and. an Equipment Type.

What is a simple way to capture the Equipment type (text field), display it in the next field on the form, and save it when the form is closed or the user goes on to the next record entry?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I don't understand what you're looking for. You're going to have to be more explicit.
