Query Works in A97 and Not in A2003

Hi,

I have a query that runs smoothly in an Access 97 database, but fails
when it runs in Access 2003. (The original database was created in 97
and converted to 2003, if that makes a difference.)

Here is SQL statement that fails in Access 2003.

SELECT DISTINCTROW tblPhysDirectory.phyLastName
FROM tblPhysDirectory
WHERE (((tblPhysDirectory.phyLastName) Like
"|[Forms]![frmPhysDirectorySearch]![FindLName]|*"))
ORDER BY tblPhysDirectory.phyLastName;

Any help you can lend with this would be appreciated.

Henry

It should not have worked in 97 either, as written, but replace
"|[Forms]![frmPhysDirectorySearch]![FindLName]|*"
with [Forms]![frmPhysDirectorySearch]![FindLName] & "*"
