Problem with Pivot Tables in MS Access

I have two computers both running XP and Office 2003. Whenever I try to
open a query in Pivot Table view on my laptop, the computer pauses
briefly, then changes to datasheet view. If I move the database to my
desktop, I can view queries in Pivot Table view with no problems. I
tried creating a dummy database from scratch to see if the problem was
with my database or with Access on the laptop and was again unable to
view anything in Pivot Table view. I even tried uninstalling and
reinstalling the entire Office suite from the CD but I continue to have
this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
