Access APD question.

ken
Hi,
If you sent a view from SQL server 2005 to Access, and access did
something like SELECT * FROM vwNAME WHERE FieldName = SomeFilter. Would
you SQL server transfer the whole view or would it transfer just the
records that access needs?

Thanks

I assume you mean ADP not APD.

In an ADP, there is no Jet query engine at the client, all SQL is executed
by SQL Server i.e. only the results get returned to the Access client.
