Need maximum date

In the subform user enters the dates. I need help when he is done with
enteries of multiple rows program check the dates and the date which is
max shows into another textbox name maxdate which is in the main form,
separate from the subform.

You're posting like mad. Maybe you should read the help file a little
bit. You can do what you want pretty easily. Check out DMAX in the
help. Use the primary key from the mainform as your filter.

The Que books on Access are pretty good.
SAMS ones are good.
For Dummies books are generally worthless.
but read up at Amazon and read what others say.
