displaying saved records in forms

I have a form which is used to both enter data for an application and to view a snapshot of previous data entered for students. The database’s initial point of entry is a form called INTERESTED (whose row source is a table with the same name), for students that simply express an interest in studying abroad. The data from that table is then related to another table which has application information once the students begin the application process. Both the data entry form and the snapshot form are subforms of a form whose row source is the first table (INTERESTED), so that the name, student id number etc are not duplicated in more than one table. The snapshot is obtaining the data through a select command (in row source) while the data entry form dumps the data into the second application table.

My problem: I need the data entry form to show application information that has been entered previously so that the users can add more data and update that data when necessary.

I tried the Me.Refresh command but this does not seem to serve the function that I need.

Is there any other way to do this?
