Can I buy Access as a stand-alone?

P: n/a
If so, where?

The opinions expressed above are not necessarily mine.
And even if they were, I did not necessarily mean them.

So there.

Yes, and at just about any store that sells software.

Well, Ok, but how come I can't seem to find it for sale on-line? Gotta
URL I could buy it from?

Not recommending it, specifically, but it only took a couple of clicks at
http://www.amazon.com to find Microsoft Access 2003. On the home page, on
the left hand side, under Computers, click Software... on the resulting
page, in the search box, enter "Software" and "Microsoft Access."

Did you try eBay? Unless you are in a corporate "collaboration
environment," you won't miss any functionality by using Access 2002, instead
of Access 2003, and you might get a better buy on it.

Did you Google on "Microsoft Access 2003" or "Microsoft Access 2002"?

Thank you for that. I didn't search amazon, but I *did* try
alltheweb.com with
"access database" price buy -upgrade -design
and didn't have a lotta luck.

Thanx also for the thought about eBay. I'm not a big user of that,
but I'll see what I can find.
Again, thank you - may your tribe increase!

I went to e-bay and got exactly what you recommended (Access 2002),
and at a neat price, too. Everything installed and registered fine,
so all is sweetness and light chez joboils right now.
I bought a book "Complete Idiot's Guide to Microsoft Access 97" at a
car-boot sale. I assume that, while there will be extra functionality
in 2002, everything in the 97 book will work in the 2002 version.
Thank again for the guidance on this.
Yoooors,

J.

I've bought and sold some not-quite-current versions of various software on
eBay, all new-still-in-original-shrinkwrap, at bargain prices.
