Help! Report Generation Count/Sum

P: 4
Okay I have a report that uses a query to pull multiple info from different tables. Some of the information is Total # of applicants which is to be pulled from different values such as "Hispanic, Black, White, Asian, other, etc" to add to a job posting report. How do I create a running total of # of applicants for each different job posting?

Create a Group Header of the Posing field and make sure the Group Footer is set to yes. Then place you sum field in the footer. This should give you a running total on each posting.

Thanks. Now another problem I am having is it is displaying this:

Division JobPosting Job Title #ofapplicants Black White Hispanic
VP 00001 Assistant 1 1 0 0
3 0 3 0
5 0 0 5
Budget 00002 Accountant 3 3 0 0
5 0 5 0
2 0 0 2
and so forth

I am trying to make it look like this
Division JobPosting Job Title #ofapplicants Black White Hispanic
VP 00001 Assistant 9 1 3 5
Budget 00002 Accountant 10 3 5 2

Don't put your records output in the details section of the report. Put it all in the Footer section of the posting group with a sum(#ofapplicants) field etc.

All this is in my group header section. I have nothing in the details section.

Put nothing in the posting group header except header labels.

Put the #ofApplicants, etc. fields in the details section. Set the Visible property of the detail section to No.

Put the total/sum fields in the footer. With the trailing division, posting, etc.
