access project question

ken
Hi,
I get the following error "Invalid input parameter values. Check the
status values for detail".
I have a SQL 2005 backend, and an access front end. I have two tables,
MAIN, LOOKUP in my SQL server backend. If I create a view containing
value from table MAIN and enter data into it from a form in access
everything is ok.

However if I make a vew with both tables MAIN and table LOOKUP I get
the error above. Table MAIN contains some data and a foreign key
decoded by table LOOKUP.

Anyhow does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Thanks alot.
P.S. Using access 2003.

If you're lucky you can set the UniqueTable property of the form.

But first, you need to ALWAYS first test your queries in the SQL
Server environment. Run the view. Can you enter data?

When I'm in SQL I can enter data into the view.
However when I"m in access looking into the same view...can't enter
data...I"ll try setting unique table property..see if that works.

Make sure all primary key fields are on the form. They can be hidden,

Question...what does it matter what I have on the form, if the View in
access won't allow me to input data? I put all the keys on the form and
am getting the same result.
