Combine tables from different .mdb files

Hello everybody.

Somebody has given me nine files with some data
for the years 1997, 1998, ... , 2005. They are 9 different
mdb files. Each one has many tables, forms, and other things.
But all of them have a table called EAL, with fields like year
(this year contains, for all the registers, the year corresponding
the one indicated by the file name), name, surname, country and much
more fields.

The person who has given me the files wants a new mdb file with
a table that should contain all the registers from all the 9 files, in
only that table, only one table, in a single mdb file, and without
the fields that we are not interested in.

How can I combine some fields of one table in every .mdb file
in a single table in a single .mdb file?

Thanks in advance,

S.

Use a series of append queries on linked tables. there are other ways,
but since this is a one-off, just open the final mdb and attach the
tables and then create and run your append queries.
