Yes. There are various scenarios where Access fails to show the data
correctly - particularly with combos - and it would very likely show up in

Since you are assigning a value in code, you may be able to solve the
problem by repainting the form at the end or your procedure, i.e.:
Me.Repaint

the cursor at the very right of the combobox, I see that some
(invisible) characters are left of the cursor. Pressing backspace makes
