Sort by date

This is the the first time using access so I'm a bit confused. I created a simple table with these fields: last name, first name, last appointment, and due date. This database will be used to inform patients they are due for checkup. I sorted the table alphabetically by last name. I would like to create a query that sorts the due date column. by the group with the next due date. in other words assume this is April and I want to have all the May appointments listed at the top of the due date column.

The easiest way to create this is to use the wizard. Select the name of the table and the fields you want to display. Don't select any grouping, but when it askes if you want it sorted, select the due date field. This should produce the desired result. If you want to print this out on a regular basis, you might try to do the same thing as a report instead of a query - you can print a query but a report just looks nicer.
