AutoExec - Action Failed

Hi

I have multiple .mde FE's linked to an .mdb BE. The FE is distributed with an
Auto FE updater and as such all users are on the same version of the FE.
However, one user is getting "Action Failed" when the FE starts up and runs
AutoExec code.

I have seen some threads say this could indicate corruption but no ohter
users are experiencing this problem. In the past on a different db I had
something similar and it was down to the security settting but this does not
appear to be the problem this time.

Any ideas!

Thank you.

I have a similar setup, in case of (such) problems I just delete the
local .mde and they will get a fresh one :p in 99% of the cases problem
solved.

Do you know where in the autoexec code it halts? Is it within the code
or can it not run any autoexec code at all?
Can you run it down to the exact line where it faults?

I've tried prompting an upgrade already but this has not resolve it. I will
try removing the .mde altogther and try again. The user is in another branch
and as such I am working blind. Error dialog is as follows:

Action Failed
Macro Name: AutoExec
Condition: True
Action Name: RunCode
Arguments: fn AutoExec()

I am not sure whether this indicates that the macro is failing or the
function it is calling.

Sorted.

Although I set this user up at the same time as others he did not inherit the
same permissions as the other did.

Thanks for your support anyway.

Actually all hell broke loose after this (even with full permissions it
wasn't letting me in). Supect corruption.

Rolled back version, reinstated changes and now all seems well.

Fingers-crossed!

Ok, this is coming back to haunt me on a daily basis now.

Currently this seems to be limited to one user. He had been using it in the
morning fine and the error occurered when reopening it. In between there have
been no upgrades. As others with FE's connecting to the same BE seem to be OK,
so far it seems to be local to this user.

Deleting the local copy and reinstalling seemed to work after two attempts
but I can't afford to keep doing this daily, or even worse have other users
start experiencing it.

Any further suggestions of a cause/fix?
