XP SP2 and memory error

Hello

I use an old program "TeamManager 97" from Microsoft corp. which use
Access dabase.

before I upgrade my computer to XP SP2, every work fine (with 1 Go of
memory)

After I realise this upgrade I have this error :

"The team file cannot be saved: There is either not enough disk space
left on your computer to complete this operation, or you have lost
your network connection. " !!

Another computer in my company have now the same problem BUT It On XP
SP2 with 512 ko of memory and every thing work fine too !!!
I try to remove 512 Mo on my computer and TeamManager work fine !! If I Resume : "XP SP2 AND More than 1 Go of memory is not compatible with Jet Database 3.0 !!" If I use FileMon to look the access of file >> TeamManager and so on, Jet DataBase, (msjt3032.dll) try to create temporary file on temp directory >> It try two time and stop with error and no file was created !! Someone may be have a solution ???

Is the size of the .mdb file within limits ? That is the only size barrier
you cannot cross that I know of.

If it's larger than 1 - 1.7 Gb (depending on the version of Access) than
your database will be corrupt (beyond repair). You can salvage the largest
part by creating a new mdb file and importing as much as you can. Fair
chance that you loose part of the code (either from modules or from forms or
reports). Get that back from old backups.

Note: if you insert and delete data, your database grows. Deletions are
flagged 'deleted', but are not removed. Use 'compact and repair' to really
get rid of this unused space regularly.

Hello !!

Thanks a lot for your help !!!

in fact, the size of mdb file is small (2 or 3 Mb)

since last message, I searched another ways ....

With APImonitor, I just found this :

In fact, JET 3.0 engine try to create a temporary file on Temporary
directory of the computer.

On XP SP2 with 1 Go of RAM, engine try two time and raise an exception
On XP SP2 with 512 Mo of RAM, engine try only one time, and continue
the process ...

temporary File was creating fine BUT just after create the handle (and
so before CloseHandle ...) Jet Engine call VirtualAlloc API with a very
huge size (in fact, the size of RAM installed on PC)

with 512 Mo : virtualAlloc return a not null value, and process
continu
with 1 Go : virtualAlloc return null value, process is stopped and so a
CloseHandle of temporary File is launched (and so, the temporary file
is destroyed)

Resume : It seems that MS JET 3.0 with memory size of computer rather
than a limit (1 Go perhaps) don't work fine ....

I try to change the params of virtual memory on computer (don't allow
it, but It didn't work too)

I search, I search .... but if you have another idea ! it would be
very appreciate !!! :-)

best regards
