couldn't update/currently locked

Hello

I am running an application created with MSAccess XP on a Novell server.
Every few days the backend database locks up; when a user tries to
update the backend, the following error message occurs:

couldn't update/currently locked

The backend can stay locked for as long as one hour sometimes.

These problems seem to have started when the Novell server was upgraded from
Novell Netware 4 to Novell Netware 6

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be ?
Thanks

Thanks for letting us know that Netware still exists :-)
Have you seen the Netware related knowledgebase articles on
microsoft.com, such as this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;815281

Otherwise: entry level Windows servers now cost around $1000. Perhaps
the simplest way to take care of the issue.
