<cr> after the 1023 character problem

Hi All,

I have a process in AccessXP that compiles a list of names from the
user table that is used as a distribution list which gets passed to
Groupwise. The vba process separates each name with a semi-colon(;). If
I look at the variable(which contains the list) in debug mode I see
that after the 1023 character there is a return and when the list is
sent to Groupwise it reads the return and keeps the return and the
address that's at that 1023 character gets split which causes Groupwise
the stop processing because of a bad address.

how do I get groupwise to understand the <cr> as nothing or soft<cr>?
OR how do I get the vba procedure to not wrap to a next line?

thanks
bobh.

Would it work for you to replace the <CR> with something?

mystring = replace(mystring, vbcrlf, " ")

mystring = replace(mystring, chr(10), " ") 'replaces line feed

mystring = replace(mystring, chr(13), " ") 'replaces carriage return

Might not be the right substitution for your circumstance, but you can
replace anything with anything.
