Complex Cascading Combo Boxes

Hey, I wonder if anyone can possibly help me with this problem. I'm really struggling with it.

Ok, I have a form with a childform inside it which is in datasheet view, this form has two combo boxes, one which selects the category, and the other contains the contents of the category. These combo boxes are linked as in all the examples out there using AfterUpdate.

However, the problem with this approach is that when the datasheet form is reloaded displaying all records the contents of the category list box (ie the one with the data in) is only shown if the previously executed AfterUpdate is of the same category type.

I understand why its happening but don't know how to solve it.

There must be a solution to this, anybody? Its really baffled me.

Thanks for you help.

In after Update of the category combo box you should include a command to requery your contents combo box!

See the requery method in ms Access there is exemples!
