Automating Ballot form

P: n/a
I live in a condo community of about 500 people. We are electing a Board
of Directors. There are 8 candidates for 4 openings. I am attempting to
automate the vote counting process. I have a simple table with 8 rows and 3
columns. Each row has a key field, the candidate's name, and a count field.
My form displays the 8 candidates and a check box next to each name. I
count the checks to make sure a ballot does not contain more than four
votes. After the form passes the vote count test, I want to add 1 to the
count field in 4 of the 8 candidate records. Seems easy, but I'm stumped on
a way to select the 4 candidates to update before going on to count the next
ballot. Do you know of a way to filter a recordset to accomplish this, or
should I go through a read/write process four times for each ballot?
Thanks..I appreciate your time and knowledge.
