How do I add a field?

[Need Help]

I just started working at this new job and they are using a Microsoft
Access to keep track of quotations. I want to add a field to indicate
when the job was completed but based on the Help file, I should have
been able to do so by going into the DataView, selecting a column and
then Insert a field, but the only option I get is the Insert Record.

How can I add a new field to an existing database?

Make sure that no other users have the database open.
Close all forms that may have opened up at startup
Press F11 so you can see the database window if you cannot already
Right click the table from the table list you need to modify and select
"Design"

From here you will be able to add you new field!!!!
