What method in VBA can be used to move through a recordset (table) then
read every single field/row and then update it depending on the value?

Our colleague is right, .MoveNext is what you are looking for. If your
recordset supports getrows() and getstrings(), use that for better
performance. You could then reuse one recordset object over again. Just
a thought that might help in a big application dealing with several
transactions.

Here's a starter for ten using DAO (untested):

Dim db As DAO.Database, rs As DAO.Recordset, strSQL As String
Set db = CurrentDb
strSQL = "Select * From qryMyQuery;"
Set rs = db.OpenRecordset(strSQL)

rs.MoveFirst

With rs
.Edit
![MyField] = "Whatever"
.Update
.MoveNext
End With

rs.Close
Set rs = Nothing
db.Close
Set db = Nothing

Why would you do that, instead of using a SQL statement to update
the records all in one go?
