Thanks for the link.
Looking at some of the Access information, my initial thoughts are a
better UI (ribbons, designing forms), but a few dangerous features
such as multi-value fields (hopefully implemented strictly
relationally with developer access to the underlying tables). Also not
sure how I'll be using Sharepoint integration. It seems more geared
towards larger companies, not our average customer.

It's a BETA. Some things don't work. I found that Outlook had problems
with IMAP folders and insisted on installing a BETA Desktop Search
which could not be installed. Eventually I found out how to turn the
insisting part off, but the BETA Desktop Search installation problem is
said to be a "known problem".

Eventually I had to do a system restore to get everything I wanted to
work back working.

Further off topic I wonder if anyone else is ambivalent about the need
for a Desktop Search engine and frequently does an install followed a
couple of days later by an uninstall. I find that almost all will go
into some kind of infinite indexing loop, just when I have my machine
on and will be away for 12 hours. When I return my office is quite
warm.

Of course, as soon as MS has it ready for sale everything will work
perfectly.

BTW, even if you tell the install to zap your previous install (2003
for me), the system restore will recover your old version. You probably
already knew that but I did not.
