Query a subform

Hello All,
I am creating a database form that has 5 tabs, with each tab holding a
subform. On the first tab I want to Highlight certain words that appear
in one of the subforms. The words I am looking for are "customer" and
"office".
The main form is called "frm_ro_shop" the subform that I want to query
is called "frm_ro_notes".
I want to look in the subform for "customer" and "office" in the "type"
field of the subform and display the word customer or office on the
first tab and have the word be highlighted.
I tried using dlookup but I cannot figure out how to get dlookup to
reference only the data displayed on the form. This is for an ADP
application so I am a little limited on how I can go about this. Please
help!!

This is the dlookup I have on the ubound control on the first tab
=dlookup("[Type"],"notes_view", "[Type]='Customer")
However this does not limit the data to only what is displayed on the
subform.
There is another field called [incidentNo] that I would like to limit
this dlookup to.
