Import Shift Some Column Data

I'm trying to import a csv spreadsheet into Access and find that the
data in some cells in a few rows gets pushed to columns to the right.
When I reach the point in the Wizard that shows the column data (using
fixed width fields), I see that the entry in a cell is in quotation
marks. The rest of the row for this entry is not in correct columns.
Using Excel, I don't see any indication of the quotation marks. How do
I resolve the error? Thanks in advance.

Should have said that I tried to import as delimited, not fixed width.

Try importing the file with a Text qualifier. To do this, once you
have the import wizrd open, click on the Advanced button in the lower
left corner. In the upper right corner of the new window is a drop
down for the text qualifier and change it to quotation (") mark. Or
make sure the entire column in the excel file is set to something other
than text, if you have no text info in that column.
