HELP!! going to go mad soon!! query help

Hello all thank you for lookin at my problem :)

I have a database which consists of 3 tables and im not allowed ne more, and i hav a set amount of fields and im not allowed any more!

i need to find the average number of days late for each supplier, but i need to find the number of days late first!! i cant store the number of days late anywhere which would make it easy to workout the averyage.

i know id have to put somthing like

IIf[PromisedDeliveryDate]-[ActualDeliveryDate])>0,[PromisedDeliveryDate]-[ActualDeliveryDate]),0) AS DaysOverdue

but where can i do the average thing im really new to this stuff and any help would be fantastic
