Access 97 and Lotus Notes

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if this is even possible but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I have an Access 97 database that contains construction projects and
other associated details and is updated on a regular basis by
construction engineers and the like. My problem is that ocassionally
(actually, more like daily) emails are received from other project
engineers with numbered comments and ocassionally answers or comments
to each numbered comment. The emails are always received in Lotus
Notes and someone ends up having to copy and paste each individual
comment into a relevant field on a form in the Access DB. Is there a
way to somehow automate this process?

I've been trying to think of a way to work this out and as I said
above, I'm not even sure if it's possible but I thought I'd put it out
there in case anyone else has come across the same problem and found a
solution to it.

Many thanks for any advice, Dean...

YOU can access emails in Lotus Notes from Access. YOu would need to
ensure that the project email had the correct project ID in it and then
design the exact process for what gets posted where.

I once wrote a extract for Lotus Notes emails to store in an Access
datbase. That could serve as a starting point for your solution. Let
me know if you want a copy.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the prompt response. A copy of what you did previously
would be really helpful and maybe I can learn a few things along the
way, thanks.

All the best, Dean...
