avoid printing the last page on purpose

hey.. i have a 5 page quarterly report where each page is a different subject
for the report. it's the 4th and 5th pages that i have questions about. the
4th is a quarterly performance report and the 5th is a year-to-date
performance report. right now, i have it coded so that all of the controls
that are associated with ytd values are visible = false if the report is run
for the 1st quarter (obviously, the 1st quarter numbers are equal to the ytd
numbers, making the ytd page unnecessary). however, it will still print the
5th page, it just prints it blank. now i have the 4th and 5th pages on the
same footer section of the report, with a page break inbetween them. i've
tried to code for the page break to be visible=true and false in various ways
with no success. i really would just like to tidy this loose end up, if
anyone can help. thanks.

I'd create 2 reports; 1 with the ytd, the other w/o. I'd then call
whichever report I wanted.

I suppose you could test kludges and not do the above. Perhaps you
could set a flag on whether or not the ytd is to be printed. If
not...I'll assume the ytd is a subreport. Set the recordsource filter
to something that will return no records and have some code in the
OnNoData to continue on.

not knowing what kludges are, and having tried all the code and flags i know,
calling two different reports was a beautiful option. thanks.
