Access Databese errors

Ever since we hit 5000+ contracts, i think they are in forms we have errors. when we try to lookup a contract 1-4999 work but 5000+ doesnt work, anyone have any idea why. We also have something that list all of our contracts that says invalid argument when you click it, only happened since we hit 5000. Thanks for any information leading to finding the problem

Is this all done in Access or some front end with an Access database back end?
How are you searching for the records? If it's a query, can you run the query that the form uses and retreive the data?

We can help you better with more information.
