A97 Q on OpenRecordset syntax...

MLH
Set rstOtherTable = MyDB.OpenRecordset(xxx, dbOpenDynaset)

I have a question regarding syntax of the above OpenRecordset method:
Is it OK for xxx to reference both tables and queries when using
dbOpenDynaset?

And how about these 2 lines together - is the code structure OK?
xxx = "SELECT tblLienHolders.LienHolderID FROM tblLienHolders;"
Set rstOtherTable = MyDB.OpenRecordset(xxx, dbOpenDynaset)
