Need to delete control-break character buried in big file

JK
I'm trying to import a 600 meg txt file. Some of the content is noisy,
the import bails at 93 meg and I suspect that a ctrl-break character is
buried in there. Anybody have a suggestion on how to delete it?
If the file were (much) smaller, I'd just pull it up in Word or
something, delete the character, and save as text. But it's too big
Any suggestions?

Use a utility like SED (stream editor) to remove
these unwanted characters.
