ODBC Connection Issues

I'm using the TransferDatabase method to copy down a couple of large
tables from an Oracle database so I can report on them locally. I
linked to the table I want, opened it in design view and checked it's
properties to get the connection string, which is:

ODBC;DSN=D573;SERVER=D573;;TABLE=KHAMELEON.HM_COMM ISSION_EXTRACT

So I created my macro, used the TransferDatabase method, set the
Database Name to the above string, the source to KHAMELEON.SY_USER_ID,
the destination to KHAMELEON_SY_USER_ID (since Access won't let me use
a period in the table name). The linked table will open fine. When I
delete that linked table and run my macro, it starts to work. It says
Importing at the bottom and the first one or two blue squares pop up,
then it quits and says:

ODBC--connection to 'D573' failed

Is there a time limit? If I walk through and do an Import (not via
macro, actually File>Import, I can sometimes get it to download, but
takes a good 20-30 minutes). Thought maybe I need to keep the
connection window open longer, but no idea.... and thoughts?
