Problem adding calculated field to table

I am using Access 2002.

I have a client transactions table with a field for HoursBilled,
BillingRate, and AmountBilled.
Amount Billed is a caluclation of HoursBilled * BillingRate. I can get
it to calculate on the fly in both queries and forms, but need this
number to be in the table.

Anyone have any ideas??

No, you don't need it in the table and it would be a bad idea to try to put
it there. Use a query with that calculation included in all the places
where you are currently using your table.

Hello,

Just to back up Rick Brandt, I agree. What you
have been doing is the best way. No need to
save the total when the 2 other primary fields,
HoursBilled & BillingRate, have the data saved
in them for future use. Otherwise a waste of space.
