Given I regularly change my "email" address I suspect your search criteria
is a bit faulty. That's what hapens when one makes assumptions:)
Changing your email address in Google doesn't affect your subscription
name or the date you registered it.

You're quite welcome, Jen. But in response to your
statement, my question would become;

"What does registering with Google have to do with
news groups and how long someone has been posting
in said news groups?"

Although I know that Google does offer posting to
news groups, I ask this, since many people do not
"register with Google" and yet, have been posting
in news groups for years.

Maybe you are not aware of this, but one can download
news group messages via their ISP and use a news group
reader, such as "Agent" to read messages and respond
to them. That's what I do. I don't go to a web site
to read and respond to news group messages. And
I love using a separate reader package! :)

Maybe you should check out Agent. It is simply, IMO,
the best program out there for news group usage. :)

You can also use programs like Outlook Express,
but OE is really a piece of crap and is very easy
to infect with viruses and it doesn't allow you to
delete messages that you don't want anymore.
