Simple problem with combo-Box Text

P: n/a
I am using a continuous form, with a combo box. When I select an entry,
then Click somewhere else on the form, the entry updates and the combo
box goes blank. I don't want it to update until i tell it to, Is there
a way to stop it from updating whenever it wants?

Sounds like you have some code in the combo's update events. You'd need to
change it to do either something else or nothing.

The update events are empty for the combo box, The Click of a command
button is causing it to update. But i dont want it to.

You said "Click somewhere else on the form" on your OP, are you now saying
it's a command button?

Yup, I wasn't lying, And it seems a little bit silly to use an entire
post to try to make someone feel stupid, I'm sure you've never had a
problem explaining yourself.

Added the Line ComboBox=ComboBox (relative) to the afterupdate, and it
worked.

It's even sillier to flame someone that trying to help. Idiot.

I disagree. The way you replied only makes you sound like an elitist. I
realize I could have explained better, But that doesn't mean you need
to be an asshole to try to justify yourself as a better tech-geek.
Hardly seems something to be proud of.

"It's even sillier to flame someone that trying to help. Idiot."

If you were trying to help, you would have asked for more information,
not been an asshole, I'll ask someone else, who doesn't have something
to prove to the faceless aliases in this forum.

I don't see much point in trying to insult someone who was trying to
help and has KF'd you anyway. I didn't see anything "elitist" in this
thread. Seems you need a major attitude overhaul if you're ever going
to get any help on here, which I now doubt since you closed by insulting
the whole group. Ever though of changing your handle to "halfbrainguy"?
