unlocking table to be updated while being used by others

We have a database that is open read only to about 1000 users. there
are two tables that are updated at least twice a week.

When we try to clear and populate the tables, we are stopped due to
current users and the files being locked.

Is there a simple way to boot out the users and update the tables as
necessary, that can be run as macro as part of our update?

I have tried DoCmd.Quit and Application.Quit, but they only close the
local session on my machine I need to close all sessions.

I need everyone out in order to do the update. No notice needs to be
given to the users.

Thanks!

Mark

use KickEmOut from www.datastrat.com It's in the downloads section.
You can't unlock the table - you have to kick all the users out of the
back end and then you can open it for update or whatever.
